New Home and Away Blog

Welcome to this new and exciting blog completely dedicated to the programme Home and Away.

Home and Away premiered on Australian television in 1988 and since then has captivated audiences with its individual style and footprint. From the comedic performances to the chiseled physiques, the wide age ranges, the paradise like setting. Home and Away is easy going yet captures audiences with its gripping storylines often intertwined within many other just as engrossing events. Home and Away is often a dream, with its idyllic settings, its charachters model good looks and our ease with which we can relate and slot in to this environment.

Having celebrated its 21st birthday last year Home and Away continues its gruelling schedule of filming and production. But I won't complain about that as even a short Summer vacation from Home and Away leaves a void in my day which snowballs into affecting many aspects of my life! What do I talk about now to my friends, what do I imagine will happen next in the storyline, where could this story possibly go? The Home and Away writers are near experts at leaving us champing at the bit. Just as we are about to find out who is behind the murders in Summer Bay the credits roll and the distinct, recognisable theme tune sets in.

If you were lucky enough (or old enough) to remember the earliest episodes, amongst otherscharacters such as Pippa (Vanessa Downing/Debra Lawrence) and Tom Fletcher (Roger Oakley) will stand out. As well as their foster child Sally Fletcher ( Kate Ritchie) and Bobby Simpson (Nicolle Dickson).

This blog will keep you up to date with the latest heppenings in Home and Away whilst also giving you a profile and brief history of past charachters.
